Grayson, Kentucky-This summer, Dr. Rob Shoaff, Dean of the Keeran School of Bible and Ministry and Assistant Professor of Intercultural Studies at Kentucky Christian 大学, traveled to Heredia, 成本a Rica to lead a Discipleship Conference with representatives from nine Central and South American nations. 会议, themed “Impact 2024: Fruit to Root,” focused on the transformative power of Christ in our lives and ministries.
Leaders from 成本a Rica, 尼加拉瓜, 阿根廷, The Dominican Republic, 巴拿马, 哥伦比亚, 危地马拉, 智利, and the United States gathered for the conference, which was organized by the mission organization Feed the Crave. Dr. Shoaff, who has been collaborating with Shaun Splechter, Executive Director of Feed the Crave, 十年来, has witnessed the spread of discipleship movements across multiple countries.
During his time in 成本a Rica, Dr. Shoaff not only led the conference but also had the opportunity to preach at a church in the mountain town of Poas, visit Life Groups (Grupo de Vida), and participate in the ministry of Christ’s City Church in Heredia, led by Minister Jose Palma.
会议 aimed to guide leaders towards dependence on Christ and shared leadership, emphasizing the Supremacy of Christ in all aspects of life. Through introspection and envisioning growth through Christ, participants were inspired to renew their lives, change their perspectives, and return home motivated to put their newfound knowledge into practice.
